Surprising the Hubby!

I couldn't wait to get rid of this secret and tell someone else! I researched cute and fun ways to tell, but nothing seemed right. I found out on the Thursday before Easter, so I was thinking something with Easter eggs would be fitting. I had done a Easter egg hunt for the hubs the year before so I was set. I got his favorite Easter candy (Brach's Fiesta Malted Milk Eggs) to fill them and set out a mini hunt in our living room! I did not want to make it hard because I didn't want it to take too long!! I was so anxious to get the news out so we could celebrate this miracle and blessing together!

Hubs came home from work, hungry, ready to go out to dinner and I just tried to act normal. Once he was settled I told him to do the egg hunt! He said he'll do it when we get back from dinner. I pushed him again, "please, do it now!" Doesn't he get how much of a big deal this is!??!?!? lol. He will soon!!

Finally he was collecting the eggs and I was giving BIG hints! There was a blue egg that had something special in it (I marked it so he'd open it last). Once he collected all of them, I told him to open the "special blue" one last. He was happy with all the fiesta eggs, not suspecting anything and then he got to the last one....had a note inside "Happy Easter My Love! One more surprise..." That's when I pulled out a box from behind the couch cushion from where I was sitting. It was hard to hide because he wanted to look behind me during the hunt! Anyway, two tests were inside and there was no denying what they meant....

He kept saying really?! Really?! Him all smiles and me all tears!! It was emotional! He wanted to know all the details and he was just on cloud nine! It was so fun to see him so happy! Definitely made waiting for dinner worth it!
